About The Artist
Areej was born and raised in Kuwait. She moved to the US for college to study Engineering at Virginia Tech and obtained both her B.S. and M.S. degrees. She spent over 10 years living and working in various cities in the US including Orlando, Savannah, Louisville, NYC, and Washington D.C. before moving to London in 2007. Her career before art was primarily in Tech and she worked for nearly 15 years at Apple. In recent years, she relocated back to the US with her husband Christian and dog Teddy where she also transitioned from her corporate career to her work in the arts. She lives happily between Miami and London and finds inspiration in the unique style of these very different cities.
